CURRENT FREEZE REQUESTS PROCESS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Q: What if I cannot use my membership for a period of time?
A: Freezing your membership is a good way to stay a member without having to cancel. This is a period of up to 3 months without a monthly draft, with an auto-start at the completion of the freeze. This would also eliminate any associated Joiner's Fee when activating your account again. We require a 10-day notice to activate a freeze. This can be done in-person at the membership desk or through our 10-day Freeze/Cancellation Request. Use of the facility is prohibited during the freeze period. Memberships cannot be cancelled while on freeze.
MEMBERSHIP FREEZE
Memberships may be placed on a freeze 1-time/year up to 3 months.
Your membership will not draft for up to 3 months, the membership will auto-start at the completion of the freeze.
The freeze allows you to avoid repaying the joining fee when you would like to restart your membership.
Complete a freeze form at the membership desk to begin your membership freeze.
We just ask for a 10 day in-person written notice to process a freeze.
*Memberships on Freeze must reactivate in order to cancel with the 30-day cancellation notice.
Why do we ask for in person freezes?
We ask for the in-person written notice for a few different reasons:
- To provide a written documentation of the cancellation/freeze request.
- To verify the understanding of the last membership draft and when the membership ends/starts.
- To verify that the person making the cancellation/freeze request is the member of the facility.
There a other back office administration purposes for the policy, but most importantly it is to protect the member and verifying understanding.
